This seems to be a flag of the Myanmar War Veterans Organization.

Armed Forces flag (Tatmadaw)

[Armed forces flag] by Zachary Harden, 9 December 2018

This flag was seen at a military parade, subsequently identified by Jaume Ollé as the flag of the Armed Forces. See Unidentified flags from Myanmar for the flag in context.

The flag that was shown in the photograph [previously displayed] is used more than the red flag with the Tatmadaw emblem. Yet, both flags are confirmed to be used. For the three stripe/star flag, it is used heavily at parades and other military events. It even has a higher status than the Army, Navy and Air Force (among others), yet is inferior to the mystery flag that we have at FOTW. The red flag (below), on the other hand, is used mostly by those who are not in the military and show support for them. The flag can be seen here.

A flag with a similar design to the Ministry of Defence flag, but omitting the orange design around.

This flag is also used at the Defense Service Academy; the red flag is used along with a blue one and a yellow one. My guess is that they signify the three groups of each class.

Commander in Chief

[Commander in chief] by Zachary Harden, 17 January 2022

The site at http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?t=69914&page=8 shows a parade with a number of flags in the background including one identified as the commander in chief.

This flag is also illustrated in Pederson's book under "Burma" see page 72.

The earliest use I could find was by Gen. Than Shwe in March of 2010 at; ratio was 5x9 to match the national flag at the time. It was still in use in a 2014 parade, albiet with a small design change to match the national flag. In another parade in 2016, a different flag was used by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar armed forces. This flag is similar to a lot of the British Commonwealth multi-service flags where it is three colors (red, dark blue, sky blue) with the golden emblem of the Tatmadaw in the center. Also, I noticed that his rank (five star general) is below the emblem in gold. This flag is still in use as of 2018, yet I am not certain when the change happened. I do not have any photos or videos of the 2015 parade (yet) to confirm which pattern was used by SnrGen Min Aung Hlaing.

Vice Commander in Chief

[Commander in chief] by Zachary Harden, 17 January 2022

The flag of the Vice Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces (also the Commander in Chief of the Army) is the same as the CINC, however it has one less star below the armed forces emblem.
